Having been painting for more than four decades, I find myself at the crossroads between adapting to new modes of recognition as an artist, or being relegated
to obscurity. With the advent of the digital age came new responsibilities for the artist, a necessity to convert obsolete photographic negatives to the new formats,
or else to embrace oblivion.
Some of my older files have been converted, but many more require extensive retouching before I can share them with you. Many of the images here come from old 35mm slides; for them to be fully appreciated, the originals works will need to be digitally photographed. Not all the work in the gallery, at this point, is suitable for printing. I would appreciate contact from my old patrons who currently own my work, in order to make arrangements for digital imaging, at the expense of
the artist.
It would also be prudent to have all works on paper examined along with their matte boards. A museum curator advised me to check works on paper once every decade to ensure archival integrity.
